“Purple Haze” Flutter Spoon

Black and Purple. That color combo has been a producer for trophy trout in the fly fishing world for decades. I often see it as a bass pattern as well, but the “Purple Haze” pattern has been a go-to scheme for me on any day where clouds are thick in the sky, the water is slightly turbid or when the sun is rising or setting. An awesome lure for late or early in the day. Throw it out, let it catch in the current or sink to your desired depth, pop your rod tip and hold on! The hand tied purple hook is a nice added touch of color to make the lure pop.
